Our Score with German team is made up of pros – both on the soccer field and in the classroom.
We’re proud to have as camp director Robert Mucha. For the past four years Robert was camp director of “Deutsch Plus Fußball”, one of the Goethe-Institut’s most successful youth language courses world-wide. The highlight of his soccer career was winning the German Soccer Cup with Heilbronn’s U-20 team.
Our soccer coaches and German instructors are highly experienced, patient and super motivated. They are enthusiastic about our innovative approach to foreign language teaching and soccer instruction.
Soccer Coaches: We firmly believe that soccer is most enjoyed in an environment where you can experience a true sense of community. Our licensed coaches – who are from Germany and your local community — create a family atmosphere where everybody thrives.
Our coaches have the expert’s eye to correct a camper’s individual mistakes on the field. They don’t bore you with monotonous drills. Our motto is: Not a single activity without a soccer ball! And following their instructions – in German! – reinforces what we’ve covered in the classroom.
German Instructors: Our instructors are staff of the Goethe-Institut or German teachers from the local Middle or High Schools. They all know that this is a summer camp and that the kids are on vacation. Boring grammar drills are immediately shown the red card!
Our instructors bring the excitement of the soccer field to the classroom by working with teaching materials that are completely geared towards the passionate soccer player and the young language learner. This is where soccer comes alive, where a true love for the sport and for language learning is born.
